Communication is the mediium through which we build relationships that are based on trust and respect.

    .   enhance listening skills to anticipate and avoid misunderstandings
    .   avoid communication breakdowns by taking personal responsibility 
    .   identify how we filter all information through biases, assumptions, prejudice, past experiences, 
and expectations
    .   reflect on how we can work more constructively with our emotions 
    .   explore the effects of stress, trust, and distrust on communication
    .   relate emotional intelligence (EI) to effective interpersonal skills
    .   examine approaches to working with difficult people
    .   learn to facilitate more effective communication in stressful situations
    .   be cognizant of how to eradicate blind spots and be mindful of personal filters
    .   consolidate the key steps to building rapport with others
    .   map your issues, feelings, identity, and power dimensions of communication
    .   reflect on how constructive criticism and praise produce results

This experiential workshop will integrate an overview of how coaches approach communication through the use of powerful questions.  Attendees will learn how to position themselves to embrace collaboration in a more positive and expansive way.

The workshop will include a discussion on non-verbal communication, as well as cross-cultural communication and how it affects the workplace.
