HPT/WS (5) Mobilizing Your Team With Emotional Intelilgence


Are you aware that emotional intelligence (EI) is a more accurate predictor of success than intellectual quotient (IQ)?

A team's emotional intelligence relies on the same capabilities as an individual - self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and, at the same time being empathetic and influential in interactions with others.

    .  identify the key components of emotional intelligence
    . understand the impact of emotional intelligence on behavior and performance
    . recognize the importance of empathy
    . demonstrate the benefits of having a tam engendered with emotional intelligence
    . identifying emotional triggers
    . recognize the emotions that have a negative impact as well as a positive effect on productivity
    . develop more effective communication and influencing strategies
    . gain insight on how to leverage emotional strengths that build effective relationships
    . establish emotional rules for the team
    . be able to predict emotional responses in order to communicate more effectively
    . apply new ways of managing team emotions so that teams are more engaged and productive

With the use of the EQ-i 360 assessment, we will develop a comprehensive profile of the team's emotional intelligence and examine the group norms and habits that drive the team's behavior.  Taking the results of the profile, we will facilitate a team alignment meeting in which members will acknowledge the team's reality in order to improve the team's emotional competencies and performance effectiveness.

We will also make use of interactive scenarios and case studies.
